I picked up my first book on how foods effect on the body in 1994 and my voracious appetite for health was officially ignited. I self studied a multitude of health and wellness approaches over the past 20+ years, from healing with whole foods to Chinese medicine to dream interpretation to psychology to financial health. I have become the go to person for health and wellness advice in my community. I decided to make it official in 2014 when I enrolled at The Integrative Institute of Nutrition in NYC. At IIN, I had the honor of being taught by Deepak Chopra, Dr. Andrew Weil and Dr. Mark Hyman to name a few. Every year I go through the Optimum Health Institute educational program and cleanse. Recently, I completed a Mastery for Thyroid Imbalance course. The learning never stops! It is my desire to give back to you what all of these master teachers and incredible courses have given to me.
In addition to being a life long student, I have spent the last 20 years as a commercial wardrobe stylist, a job that I continue to love doing. I create the wardrobe for photo shoots with clients such as Lands End, Orvis, Lane Bryant, Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, Target, Nike, Mercedes Benz and many more. In the fashion business, nearly everyone is obsessed with health. I began health coaching the models, hair/makeup artist and photographers before I even knew what coaching was. Health is my passion and something I never tire of chatting about.
I grew up quite poor in rural Vermont to a single mom with four kids. Trust me, I know how to make a dollar out of 15 cents. You can eat healthy on very little money. If you follow my insta stories you will see I am mostly posting Fast, Easy and Cheap meals and that I live by the Cook Once Eat Twice credo. Growing up, we ate fresh real food from the garden, berry bushes, apple trees and our extended families pasture raised animals and honeybees. As a teen, I used my babysitting money to get as many cute outfits, junk and fast food as I could! Coach G used to put 6 sugars in her coffee - breaking up with that backstabber just about killed me, I know all about how hard it is to kick bad habits. I also had to learn how to eat in order to take care of my severe gluten intolerance, leaky gut, peri-meni hormone imbalance, a parasite infection, a histamine intolerence and my autoimmune response, psoriasis. I have been around the block a few times and learned so much along the way and now is my to time to educate and empower you. And guess what else, I am gonna make it reeeaaal easy.
